I ran a face detection algorithm over a large pile of popular pictures: actors, actresses, politicians, all the faces the web keeps recycling. Instead of recognizing them, the algorithm dissolved them. The more famous the face, the more pixelated, anonymous and abstract it came back.
I selected the results and put them together in a fifteen minutes long slideshow, plus a few poster prints. Warhol promised everyone fifteen minutes of fame. Here everyone gets fifteen minutes of the exact opposite.
